On my new laptop I hear a wobbling sound when I stop playing video or music. It disappears after a while. Sometimes it happens the the wobbling sound appears again even if nothing is played.

I've updated all audio drivers and tried the newest one form Realtek home page, but the wobbling sound does not disappear.

Maybe someone has had a same or similar issue with the sound and can help.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting wobbling sound when you stop the music.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Do you get the same sound when you use headphones?

Meanwhile, I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically detect and fix any audio-related issues on the computer.

Here is how it is done.

- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.

 - Click on "Playing Audio".

 - Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for the information.

I've to add that the wobbling sound can be also heard when music is playing. I've tried the Troubleshooting Audio guide with no success fixing the issue.

The wobbling sound isn't there, when headphones are in use.

Thank you for the update.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105867.exe

If you continue facing the issue, then perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.

Refer to the below link for detailed steps.

HI,

i've updated the BIOS with the service pack you recommended but it didn't solve the problem. I do not know  on which software update the problem was seen first as I received the Notebook from the reseller already with the problem.

I will send the Notebook back to the reseller for replacement..

Thanks for your help and Regards
