Trying to use bluetooth speakers with my HP Envy Notebook

HP ENVY 14-3010nr SPECTRE Note
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Got a Philips Wireless audio speaker BT100 as a gift. Can't connect to my notebook. How can I find out if I have the right drivers for wireless bluetooth audio speakers?

Trying to use bluetooth speakers with my HP Envy Notebook

Hi,

It is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and under:

      http://www.philips.com.hk/en/c-p/BT100B_00/wireless-portable-speaker/specifications

and your machine with Windows 7 has builtin Bluetooth

therefore please use the following instructions to connect

Regards.

I tried what you said and got to the same place. My laptop seems to recognize the bluetooth device because it shows up in the Devices and Printers window. Unfortunately, when I try to make the connection I get the message that it cannot make the connection. Any ideas?
