Pavilion 15 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm currently using Windows 7 Ultimate. I'm unable to find a Bluetooth icon on the taskbar.

I came across a few sources telling me to buy a Bluetooth toggle. I just wanted to know if there is any other option.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi:

If there is no Bluetooth icon in the device manager, install the HP Connection manager software and restart the PC.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64501-65000/sp64815.exe

Then see if you can turn on the Bluetooth using the connection manager software.

Then see if installing this W7 Ralink Bluetooth driver gets the bluetooth to work.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70570.exe

If not, most likely the Bluetooth portion of the wifi card has failed on you, and the wifi card would need to be replaced.

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

Also please post the full model number or product number of your notebook.

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number...
