HP OMEN 15CE025TX

Hi,

I am currently facing an issue where I am unable to plug in my earpiece or earphone. I am able to plug into the microphone port ( but it doesn't work since its for a earpiece). Kindly seek your assistance.

Best Regards,

Samu3i

@Samu3i,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.

I’d love to help!

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time you used the headphone port?
  • What is the operating system you are using?

While you respond to that, I recommend you check whether any is stuck inside the port. Also, try using a different headphone and check if it works.

Let me know how it goes and you have a good day ahead.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Take care.

Hi,

The last time I've used the headphone port is about a month ago. Currently on HP Omen - 150ce025tx (Windows 10) if thats what you meant. I've tried shining a torchlight into the port, it does not seem like there's any obstacle.

@Samu3i,

It looks like you were interacting with @The_Fossette, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,

I understand you're unable to connect headphones to your notebook.

If this is a new notebook, you can try to push it little hard and check if that helps.

There shouldn't be anything you need to remove from the port. Some models have multiple output ports so make sure the port you're connecting to has the following label: headphones.gif

If the port has that label and you're using standard headphones with a 1/8" connector (standard size for most headphones) there shouldn't be anything stopping it from going in all the way.

Check the connection on the headphones and tell me if it has 2 or 3 rings on it like this:

iphone-headphone-jack.jpg

As you can see the left jack has 3 rings and the right has only 2.

Lastly, try your headphones in another PC, iPod, or audio device to make sure the headphone jack is correct. If it works in everything else there is most likely something blocking the jack or you are connecting it to the wrong port.

Let me know if this helps. 🙂

Hi,

Yes, the port has that headphone label. The earpiece i'm trying has 3 rings on it and it works on my phone. it fits into the microphone port but not into the headphone port, hope that clarifies.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Samuel

@Samu3i,

It's great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I would suggest this looks like a possible hardware failure.

I will share you a private message with details. Please watch your inbox for more information.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
