Hi, I have a loud laptop due to playing high demanding games, the lound noise is either the fan or cpu. I have a decent headset mic plugged in the 3.5mm jack, when I talk to others while playing all they hear is my fan or cpu, and not my voice. What can I do? Buy a wireless headset, will that fix the problem? Maybe a actual microphone? Anything that will stop the noise of my cpu or fan to get to others. Thanks for your help.

It kind of depends on what they are picking up. If its internal electrical interference then it is likely using something like a Bluetooth headset would help. If the noise you are hearing from the laptop (fan) is just getting picked up by the microphone then that will not help unless you got way back from the laptop and that would make it hard to play the game. Can you have one of your teammates capture the sound so we can figure out what it is?

When you ask people to help you troubleshoot please include relevant information. So with one driver you get static but with another one you don't but the static-free driver has less features to it?

There has been a lot of traffic here on Realtek audio driver issues like this:
