Very Poor Sound Quality 650G5 with dock

Dear Community,

I have a sound problem with the my new HP 650 G5.

The notebook arrived with HP 2013 Ultraslim Dock. (D9Y32AA).

Unfortunately, there is a problem with the sound through the dock.



When I plug the headphones into the dock, the sound quality is bigger poor, box sound, and very quiet.

The same earphones plugged into your notebook, works perfectly.

It works perfectly by sending the sound to the monitor via HDMI and then connecting the headphones to the monitor.

- As the HP Support Assistans says, everything is up-to-date.
- Replaced the docking to a another ultraslim docking: the problem still persists.
- I replaced the charger to a another one: the problem still persists.
- I upgraded the docking firmware to teh latest (FW_2.24.000-->FW_2.30.000-->FW_2.33.000-->FW_2.33.001-->FW_2.33.004 😞 the problem still persists.
- I updated the BIOS to the latest version: the problem still persists.
- I reinstalled the notebook with Win10 ENT x64, but lower with build. The OS is untouched, coming from MS volume center: the problem still persists.
- Tried with another headphone: the problem still persists.
- Reseted all audio settings: the problem still persists.
- Remove all audio drivers: the problem still persists.

- I also tried with 3-4 old audio drivers from HP download center: the problem still persists.


I read a lot on the subject, but the half-plugged jack plug does not solve the problem.

I made Audio Enhancment to disabled state, the problem still persists.

I have no more idea.
I would be happy if someone from HP could help.
