Volume low after installing W10

HP Recommended
HP Zbook 17 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing a Windows 10 update a few months ago, sometimes my audio is not loud enough and I have turned up the volume as loud as I can. This was never a problem before the installation.

I read a solution for this problem (in this HP Community area), but that solution was 'closed' and I want to make sure I have the latest info.

I have an HP Zbook 17 G3, Intel Core, i7-6700 HQ CPU @2.60 GHz, 64-bit operating system.

I have not tried installing (or re-installing) any drivers.

I did use the 'troubleshooting assistant' but no change in the sound occurred.

@mango42

Please perform a clean install of Audio driver

(a) Download the following software and save on your computer

       https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99501-100000/sp99655.exe

(b) Using Device Manager to uninstall Audio driver (Conexant ) and reboot,

(c) Right click download file and select Rn as administrator,

(d) Reboot.

Hope this helps

Regards.

Thank you for your quick reply.

When you say to 'uninstall driver', do you mean 'uninstall device'?  I only see 'update driver', 'disable device', and 'uninstall device', not 'uninstall driver' looking at Device Manager, and Conexnant (ISST) Audio.
