HP ProBook 450 G7 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

About a year ago the audio in my notebook stopped working. The ONLY way I can hear anything is if I plug in earphones. BUT I DO NOT listen that way. I just listen to the notebook which always had great sound. I turn on my notebook now and don't even hear the windows start up. I have gone through all manner of troubleshooting and over and over both with the microsoft and also the HP support. The windows troubleshooter says the driver are alright but have no other thing to say. TGhe HP support says it a problem with the way the auto speakers are set up and I have no clue where to begin. It is something about the speakers being blocked by some set up. How can I just get help? Has anyone heard of anythign like this before? What could it be? what would have fouled up the settings? I don't mess with stuff like that, just one day no audio. I would really be grateful if anyone can help me. nothing has caused me more distress and stress with this notebook than this.  I am not able to use it I can't listen to youtube i have to turn on close captioning. Help!

Please right click the speaker icon and select Sound Settings. What do you see under Output Device ? Can you see Speakers component. Please Enable it.

Regards.
