Why doesn't my voice heard with one kind of skyping system and then not with another skyping system.

I can be heard when ZOOM skype is used and I cannot be heard when Theranest skyping is used.  The counselor thinks there is some setting on my laptop that is not allowing the sound yet ZOOM skype works perfectly.  Also, the Theranest keeps saying I have low bandwith.  How am I supposed to know what that is and how to change it without more money?

If the sound works in Zoom, then logically, it can work in Skype.

If your therapist says this is your fault (low bandwidth) but Zoom works,

Ask if your therapist can host your sessions with him / her using Zoom.

Problem solved.

What else?

Low-bandwidth is perhaps a way of your therapist saying your connection to the Internet is slow.

Could be.

• This can be because you don't have the fastest, best, super Internet Service that everyone wants.
• This could be because your computer is not the fastest, best, super computer everyone wants.
• This could be because you are using Wireless, your Internet Service is OK, but your router is old, outdated, slow.
• Could be a lot of things, some easily checked and fixed and some not in your control at all.
• Yes, some "fixes" cost money.

See if you can get Skype sound working and that might be enough for now.
