@carlishia, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you're experiencing audio issues with your HP Laptop - 14-dk1003dx, try the following steps to troubleshoot:

Check Volume Settings:

  • Ensure your laptop's volume is not muted.
  • Increase the volume using the volume controls on your keyboard or operating system.

Verify Audio Output:

  • Make sure the correct audio output device is selected.
  • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."
  • Under "Output," select your preferred audio device.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve audio issues.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" section.
  • Right-click on your audio device and select "Update driver."

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows OS is up-to-date, as updates may contain fixes for audio problems.

Run the Audio Troubleshooter:

  • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
  • Select "Playing Audio" and run the troubleshooter.

Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click your audio device and choose "Uninstall device."
  • Restart your laptop and let Windows re-install the audio drivers automatically.
