Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

MY ENVY HP NOTEBOOK SOUND IS NOT WORKING. SINCE THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER, I WENT TO REPAIR SHOPS AND I FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SOUND CARD. ALTHOUGH, WE ALL SEARCH EVERYWHERE TO FIND THE PART BUT WE COULD NOT FIND IT. WE COULD NOT FIND A NEW SOUND CARD ON THE MARKET. I WOULD LIKE IF HP HELPS ME HOW AND WHERE TO FIND SOUND CARD SO THAT I WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTED ONE ON MY PC. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Hi:

Your notebook does not have a removable sound card.

The audio is a chip that is an integral part of the motherboard.

If the audio hardware has failed, the motherboard would need to be replaced.

Here is the link to the parts list for your notebook which lists the part number for the motherboard.

You may want to try one of those USB audio adapters that you connect to a set of speakers if you can't find a replacement motherboard cheaply.

Also, here is the link to the service manual...
