Hi @Anu7

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post that your speakers are still playing while the headset is connected, with your HP Notebook-15-ac082tx computer. I am happy to help!

If you hear sound from both the headset and from speakers when using a headset microphone, then your computer is configured to listen to the headset microphone through the speakers. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. From the Start screen, type sound to open the Search charm, and then select Sound from the search results.

    The Sound window opens.

  2. Click the Recording tab.

  3. Select the microphone, and then click Properties.

  4. Click the Listen tab.

  5. Remove the check next to Listen to this device, and then click Apply.
