Recently updated my OS to Windows 10 v.1703, build 15063 now the HDMI conection, which worked before, now no longer produces sound through the tv speakers. The HDMI tv speaker icon is now missing from the Playback Devices, and one of the device manager speakers has a yellow exclamation( the device cannot start Code 10). A downloaded HP graphic driver will not install. The driver ID is HPAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_8086010&REV_1000.

Hi:
You have to manually install the HDMI driver from the graphics package.
Download and run the graphics driver. Close out of any error windows.
This package provides the driver that enables the Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72370.exe
Then, go to the device manager and click to expand the sound, video and game controllers device manager category.
Click on the High Definition audio device with the ! mark where you found the hardware ID.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp72370. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.
Then restart the PC.

I think your machine is an HP Envy TouchSmart M7-J020DX, not HP Envy TouchSmart M7-J0202DX. Please try IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver for Windows 10 on your machine:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
Regards.

Thanks a million! I can once again hear my movies and MP3's, with full fidelity through my tv. I knew I needed the suggested SP by its' description. I had forgotten the manual installation technique as an option. I hadn't had to use it in 6 or 7 years, when I custom built my desktop PC, with Windows 7.
