Hello, recently i encountered the known problem with many hp laptops (corrupted bios) & it stucks to hp logo and make waves on the screen.
I tried to update bios using windows + b key but surprisingly the board has F30 bios version while hp drivers give F28 as the latest!
This is very frustrating, i can't even use my laptop anymore...
Any advice?

Hi @LiveriService ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Experiencing BIOS corruption can be a challenging issue, but there are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.
Hard Reset:
- Power off your laptop.
- Disconnect all external devices and remove the battery (if possible).
- Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and try turning on the laptop.
BIOS Rollback:
- If your laptop originally had a different BIOS version (F28) and it was working fine, you might consider rolling back to the previous version.
- Check the HP support website for your laptop model to find the F28 BIOS version and instructions on how to perform a BIOS rollback.
BIOS Recovery:
- Since your attempt to use Windows + B key did not work, you might want to try creating a bootable USB drive with the BIOS recovery files.
- Visit the official HP support website and download the BIOS recovery files for your laptop model.
- Follow the provided instructions to create a bootable USB drive and attempt to recover the BIOS.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello, every step you mention is already tested without result.
Normally i would put the latest bios to a usb and using win+b replace it with the old one, but this laptop already has the latest bios & it doesn't even let me rollback to f28 (keep telling me its not the correct bios for this model but it is!).
I will probably forced to buy an external programmer to flash the old bios...
shame to hp for those problems... unaxceptable!
