Example: Pavilion K0X42EA#AB8
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

After an accidental reboot, my computer didn't boot anymore. I cant't use system recovery after i start the computer pressing esc and f11 it simply freezes, when i tried diagnostics i got subject error code for hdd. Probably hdd failed badly but i can't even format it. Is the only solution buying a new hardware?

Hello,

The test found a problem with your hard drive and it may need to be replaced. If possible, back up your personal files to a flash drive or external hard drive as soon as you can.

The following documents are available for reference:

The procedure for replacing the hard disk drive can be found in the HP manual below on pages 94 and 95.

In case of need, do not hesitate to solicit us.
