My HP 625 MOUSE IS RESPONDING BADLY, WHEN I CONTROL TO THE LEFT IT GOES THE OTHER WAY. SOMETIMES IT FREEZE FOR LONG AND WHEN I DOUBLE TAP FOR THE RED LIGHT TO COME ON, IT DOESNT.

I have the HP Touch Smart 15 laptop that has been upgraded to Edge/Windows 10 from 8.1.

Even before the conversion, I haved never had a red light on my touch pad, let alone a button on the upper left corner to turn the pad off or on. Cannot find any link under "personalize" via desktop.

I have the latest  (and reinstalled the latest )drivers, rebooted quite a few times. Nothing happens.

Went to control panel, mouse, clicked on the Synaptics Touchpad V7.5 link and did it both ways. 1) clicked on disable, then apply.  2) Put a check mark in the box that says disable if using a mouse (Preferred!)

The very next time the computer comes back from sleep or I power up again, it is like I never did anything and the touch pad is back being active (and REALLY IRRITATING!!).

Deleting the program from  "programs and features" is ineffective. Computer only regenerates the software and its back in action.

What is this? A virus? Anyone have an Idea on how to kill this touch pad?? Welcome any suggestions.
