Hi @Rancher21,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

An ACPI BIOS error on your HP Pavilion Notebook - 17z-g000 CTO typically indicates a compatibility or corruption issue in the BIOS firmware. Let’s try a few steps so you can fix it:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect all external devices and unplug the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and try booting again.

2. Recover the BIOS (if the system won’t boot)

If your laptop doesn’t boot at all:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release all keys. The BIOS recovery screen should appear.
  • Follow the prompts to restore the BIOS.

3. Reset BIOS to Default Settings

  • Enter BIOS by pressing Esc or F10 during startup.
  • Look for an option like "Load Setup Defaults" or "Restore Defaults".
  • Save and exit.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Go into the BIOS and if there is a TPM setting, change it to disabled/hidden.
