HP 15-dy1071wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting the error "Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC."

Am unable to reset the PC using Reset this PC or any of the advanced Options also available.I have not attempted to change the UEFI Firmware settings nor do I intend to.

There is not a System Restore point available to fall back on.

This all started after I tried to do a restore of my files from another computer using a stand-alone backup program.

Unfortunately I did not make a backup of the operating system on this computer before I started the restore operation.

I am unable to download a copy of Windows from the cloud and the original one that came with the computer has apparently been overwritten so Windows won't load so I can do Remote Repair of this unit nor can I access the Internet.

I have only had this for a week.

Something tells me I may have to send the unit in for repair.

You would have to be able to download from the Internet to be able to create and restore media -- and if you can't do that, you can try seeing if recovery media can be purchased from HP. But the problem with that is you have to go online to get contact information as HP does not allow us to supply any phone numbers.  So, without Internet access, you are stuck.

And, you can 't just send it in for repair because you have to contact HP Customer Support yourself to make those arrangements -- as we can not do that for you.  So once again, you need Internet access.
