HP X360 1040 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! A few days ago I bought a new notebook HP Elitebook X360 1040 G7 from one trusted person who lives in my comunity (not from electronic shop or online). Was perfect new, original package was never opened, all accesories included. I installed new Windows and works like a charm. Yesterday I tried to install a BIOS update and was not posible, because I was asked for a BIOS administrator password. I didn't created one. Because this notebook was never used, I am wondering how is posible this BIOS to be protected with password? Is there a generic password for new notebooks? I asked the seller and he was shocked too, because he never opend the notebook package or used the notebook. He has no ideea what the BIOS password is. I registered yesterday the notebook on HP Website and has 3 years garanty. I am living in Germany. Please help!
