Product: EliteBook 8440w
Operating System: Linux

Oh Great and Powerful HP Laptop Wizards,

 

One of these old critters came my way, via a second-hand palette sale. The BIOS is locked, and I have no idea what the BIOS Admin password is. I can boot into Linux or Windows, but some of the BIOS options could really stand tweaking.

 

Is there any way to reset the BIOS admin password (or reset the BIOS to defaults)?

Hi,

 

The 8440w should be supported for the 'Shotgun' method described by @REO51ST on the following link.
