So, Long story short loan my laptop to my younger brother finally got it back after he just got a new laptop, well when i got it back i decided to upgrade ram and HDD. Issue i have now is he decided to put a password on the bios, now he cant remember it and well i would really like to get in the bios. How can i go about resetting the bios ? Laptop boots up fine just cant make any changes to bios.

Without the BIOS password, you can 't -- and there is no workaround for this -- as if there was, then there would be no point at all in assigning BIOS passwords.
The BIOS password is encoded into the firmware of the motherboard, and since that can't be replaced, HP's solution is to sell you a new motherboard.
