Trying to acquire a BIOS update for a computer I purchased for $13.49 at a second hand store. I verified it work in store by plugging it in and seeing the "start windows normally" screen. After getting it home I plugged it in and open the screen and now I have a blinking light on the caps lock key. 2 blinks is corrupted bios. Hp retired this particular unit. Seeking help here. Please help if capable. Any info needed let me know.

This reputable 3rd party driver website has the BIOS update file for your notebook:
HP Pavilion dv5-2134us BIOS v.F.27 (driverscollection.com)
The problem is the BIOS update is an exe file which can only be run in Windows.
Since the PC is not working, unless you know of a way to finagle the file contents to update the BIOS outside of Windows, the file will be of no use to you.
Some PC shops may have BIOS reprogramming tools to fix the corrupted BIOS, but no one on this forum that I know of has the knowledge to help you recover the BIOS yourself.
