Product: HP EliteBook 830 G7 Notebook PC (1W9F1AV)

Hey everyone, This was a question asked on the subreddit so I’ll copy what i said there to here to make it easier and not forget anything, if that’s okay.

 

HP Elitebook G7 has this problem

Caps Lock permanently white
Power LED White, flashing amber
Irresponsive to any keys. Using power button to reset will only turn off the lights for a bit, when you take your finger off it they go back to normal.

Power Drain doesn’t work and it’s been approx 30 hours since I’ve left it to die on its own, hasn’t yet or it might be just with the flashing lights.

ive tried every shortcut to get it to restart aside from a force factory because im leaving that as a last resort.

 

** sometimes in an unknown interval the lights will flash off for a small bit then go back to what they’ve been doing before
