Ive had my Hp laptop for a good while now and never have i had any problems until yesterday, when I closed my laptop without shutting down (ive done this many times before) putting it into hibernate mode. Today I opened it back up and the screen is total black. All the lights on the keyboard work and the fan seems to be running fine. Ive watched many yotube videos on how to resolved it and followed the tips given such as, linking my laptop to a tv, taking out the battery and just using the charger, I even try switching out the ram. Not sure what to do now any ideas please

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums.
I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer not booting. However, you do see the light on the keyboard.
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Was there any update being installed on your computer before this issue occurred?
Do you see any lights blinking on your computer?
Perform a power reset.
Please disconnect any devices connected to your computer.
If you have any USB or DVD in the computer, please disconnect it.

Disconnect the adapter, remove the battery (if it can be removed)
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain the static in the computer.
Connect the adapter and battery to the computer.
Turn the computer ON and keep tapping F2 or ESC repeatedly on startup.
This should get you to a Startup Menu and from there you can select System Diagnostics.
Please select system diagnostics and run a system test. Click here for assistance.
If the test fails, please contact our phone support for the service options.
If the Startup menu or the HP Logo does not come up.
Do a power reset again.
While holding down Win + B (in some models it is Win + V) turn the computer On.
If there was any BIOS corruption, this would rollback the BIOS on your computer.
