My 15-af155sa displays a black screen with a blinking caps lock and 3initial

beeps and two final beeps

Let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the notebook

Before power resetting your computer, do the following:

  1. Disconnect or remove all peripheral devices. Start up the laptop and test the computer by itself, and then reconnect one peripheral device at a time.

  2. Turn over the computer and look for a battery compartment door.

For starters please try to roll back the bios from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

Please try both the steps mentioned in the link.

 

If this does not do the trick, please try all the steps from this link: HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10)

 

Alternatively, you can also go through this support document: If the LEDs blink, or the computer beeps, but it does not start, go to HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting LED Blink Codes or Beep Codes During Startup or Boot
