Hp15ac124tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using the Hp15ac-124tx laptop which uses windows 10 (64 bit) OS. My laptop does not boot up. A blue screen appears which asks me to choose my desired Layout. Post which only 2 options appear

1) Troubleshoot

2) Turn off your PC

I tried all the possible options in the Troubleshooting menu but nothing worked. Tried removing the battery and restarting the system which failed. Checked for any available restore points but none were available. Tried restoring the PC to the previous version of Os but that didn’t work as well. Tried doing the factory reset through the recovery manager but that is greyed out as well.

I just deleted a few unused applications from my system a couple of days ago but when I restarted my Pc this issue started up and I haven’t been able to get past it.

I am suspecting a corrupt OS.

Any other leads/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Welcome to HP Community

I suggest you run a Hard drive test to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Hard drive

If all the tests pass, contact HP Support to order the Recovery Media
