Hi @MJ9719,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14 is showing a "Boot device not found" error, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.

Check BIOS Settings:

  • Restart your laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
  • In the BIOS menu, check if your hard drive is detected under the "Storage" or "System Configuration" tab.
  • If the hard drive is not detected, it may indicate a hardware issue.

Reset BIOS to Default:

  • While in the BIOS setup, look for an option to reset to default settings. This might resolve any configuration issues.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Most HP laptops have built-in diagnostics. You can access this by pressing ESC during startup and then selecting F2 for Diagnostics.
  • Run a quick test or a full test to check for hard drive issues.

Check Connections:

  • If you're comfortable opening the laptop, check the physical connections of the hard drive to ensure they are secure.

Recovery Options:

  • If the hard drive is detected, try booting from a recovery USB or Windows installation media to repair the startup process.
  • You can create a recovery USB from another computer if needed.

Check for Boot Order:

  • In the BIOS, make sure the hard drive is set as the first boot device.

Reinstall Windows:

  • If other options fail and you have access to recovery media, consider reinstalling Windows.

Replace the Hard Drive:

  • If the hard drive is still not detected or fails the diagnostics, it may need to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
