HP ZBook 15 G2
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I just recently graduated from college and my laptop was reset to factory defaults before I took it home and I now completely own it. I am trying to put OpenSUSE on it, instead of Windows 8.1 that is on it now. I made a bootable OpenSUSE USB, verified by using it on another computer and I was able to boot from it. However, I cannot get the HP ZBook 15 G2 to boot from it. List below is things I have done.

- I have made sure Secure Boot is off

- I have made sure Fast Boot is off

- I have changed it to legacy mode in the boot options

- I have changed the legacy boot order to put all USB devices before the HDD in the ZBook.

I would put screenshots, but can you even do screenshots of the BIOS? I don't know.

I am pretty much a noob in my IT career (its what I went to college for and my bachelor is in) and I could easily be missing something simple, but none of the research I have done and everything I tried has helped, so I am asking for help from more experienced people.

Hello

is the USB partition configured as Active ?

check if you key is formatted NTFS , it could be that with  openSuse it needs a FAT32 formatted USB key.

Bye

I was able to boot using the USB on another computer, so I know the USB works. I just can't figure out why the ZBook will not boot from it when my personal PC will.
