Brand new Pavilion x360 startup doesn’t work

HP Recommended
Pavilion x360 convertible 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Out of the box, brand new, charged overnight. Turned it on. A voice started talking loudly, volume control button on right side of the machine does not work. The voice seems to be trying to provide instructions on how to setup the pc, but dialog includes codes that might be error codes. It seemed to find my WiFi and reported that it was connected and with four bars.  Told me to enter the password but keyboard doesn’t work and the field where it seems I should probably enter this data is too small to even put the cursor.   It is now hung in a loop. The word Network appears at the top of the screen with a big “Just a moment...” splashed across the middle with the circulating dots. Voice keeps repeating “Just a moment.  At level spell 2 slash spell”.  Been going for 10 minutes.   It did this same thing earlier.  I pushed the power button for more than 5 seconds to reboot it.  Restarted. But now same thing.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues setting your computer for the first time.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

You can turn off the Narrator following the below steps.

  1. On the sign-in screen, select the Ease of Access button in the lower-right corner, and turn off the toggle under Narrator.

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
