HP 240 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a brand new computer HP 240 G7 8Gb 1TB

All updates have been applied. 

No programs have been installed yet. 

It takes two and a half minutes to boot.

Unfortunately, the HP spec page for this model does not load, but the little I can find elsewhere says this model includes a 5400 RPM SATA drive -- which the the slowest laptop drive available.  So, a 2 minute plus boot time is to be expected.

 

That said, some models have SSDs instead of HDDs, but as I said, the spec pages are not working.

 

If your model has an SSD, then it should be booting in the 40-second+ ranges, not 2-minutes+ range.
