My computer is on an infinite loop of "Boot device not Found". The screen is black  except for the words on the page. I can hit fn2, fn9 and fn10. I am not able to get out.I have a version 1.11.0.0. When I do a hard drive check my smart check passed but my long dst failed. The failure ID is Q4P97X-8QJ9QQ-XD7WLK-61D503. I could really use some help. All I need to know is how to get out of this screen and back to my regular use of my computer. I don't need the exact problem fixed right now just how to get back to regular use even if there is still a problem.

You failed to provide us either the model of the PC or the version of the OS it was running -- giving us nearly nothing to work with!

But that code means that your drive has died -- and in that case, there is no way to return the PC to its former state because it will need the drive replaced and the HP setup reinstalled.

Hi, @98765432

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure, means the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook where you can find the hard drive R & R procedure.

You may want to consider replacing the mechanical hard drive with a better performing, normally more reliable 2.5" solid state drive.

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it came with W10 Home from HP.

You can reinstall W10 for free by using the media creation tool from the link below to create a bootable 8 GB USB flash drive.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

After you install W10, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
