Capslock is blinking 3 times sequentially. The screen is not showing, black

It does not look good.

Let me know what exact code you find.

 

What caused the problem in the first place?
Power glitch? Upgrade to windows 11?
Microsoft or HP update? Add a new device, memory, etc?
BIOS upgrade that went wrong?

Caps lock blinks 3times * 5 before it stops blinking but the fan is still running. There was no upgrade nor power glitch

Hard Reset:

  • Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release.
  • Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.
  • Tap the ESC key about once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash.
  • Press F2 to run diagnostics: (v) 2.6 or later is recommended.

Or contact the closest authorized service center

 

If not in warranty then disassemble

 

remove memory and drive.

Use air duster clean motherboard as best as can 

clean memory pins with eraser

re assembly, put memory back in one at a time and test to see if it can boot up. 

try the hard reset again
