Product: HP Star Wars and HP Pavillion g series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My HP Pavillion g series was not working. I switched the Hard Drive from my HP Star Wars computer in the older Pavillion g series. The hard drive had Windows 10 and was working. When I tried add more ram the machine was totaled. The pavillion will not boot unless I use a thumb drive with Windows 10 repair on it. I will not allow me to get the windows system working. I used the serial number for Windows 7 from the back of the pavillion. I also tried a windows free number found on the internet. It will not allow me to repair or upgrade the windows 10 on this drive. I can not get the pavillion to but up windows 10 without using the start up thumb drive.
