Chromebook 11-1102 Made with Google

I've had this trusty Chromebook 11 for a few years and now when I plug it in the LED light alternates constantly from red to yellow to green but never charges. It won't even turn on now. I've tried different connectors, too. Nothing works. Please help!

@Sweome5

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Did you try another charger?

A hard or forced reset erases all information in the computer memory. This forces the system to clear and reestablish the software connections between the BIOS and the hardware.

A hard reset does not remove any local files or settings.

  1. Press the power button  and refresh  button for five seconds. The computer turns off, and then turns on again.

  2. If necessary, press power button again to turn on the laptop and check the charger.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks, @ECHO_LAKE

I didn't change anything on it when it worked a few months ago, but now it won't even turn on. I've tried different chargers, too. I don't know what to do.

Thank you for posting back.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the computer as it's not turning on and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

@Echo_Lake thanks. That link is not working. So my option to have it serviced is only virtual at this time then?

Thanks again.

You can try the link once again: https://support.hp.com/in-en/contact-hp
And, also you can check with the local service center for faster repair service options.
