Product: HP Chromebook 11 G8 Education Edition

We have had a few g8's fail, no boot, charge etc, and have tried all things out on the internet to get it up and running, none work.

So checked the m/board and can not see anything blown on any side.

Took the copper plate heatsink off, and can see what's left of the thermal paste, a section on the cpu has turned into an oil with nothing left, so part of the surface has nothing on it! 

Suspect the cpu has fried over time.
