Elitebook 2170p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My Elitebook 2170p does not boot anymore. Display show Bios screen and tries to boot and goes back to Bios. I can access Bios nd did run all diags . No errors found (short and long tests). LED for Harddisk go on white and the turn orange and the HP symbol with the BIOS comes back on.

Shouldn"t the diag"s find boot problems (Boot record)?

So what to do next?

Windows 7 64bit installed

Also removed battery and pressed power on for 15sec's. already.

When I access the BIOS and go toSystemconfig (3rd tab to the right) and then to Boot options in there is "Boot Mode" where I can select:

- independent from OS

- HYBRID UEFI with CMS

-Nativ UEFI with out CMS

Which option should be selected (currently 1 "independent fom OS")?
