When powered, the splash screen showing the HP logo with the Wolf Security logo below appears. After 45 seconds or so, the screen goes blank, then the logo reappears again for 45 seconds, etc. Letting the computer run just makes it get very hot, so a hard power down is required.
Pressing the F2, F9, and the F10 keys all activate their screen setting in the bottom left corner ("Starting Boot menu" for example) - but the screen goes blank, then the logo reappears and the loop continues. The actual screens never appear, so I cannot get to BIOS, boot options or recovery.
I am already running it without any peripherals. I have tried removing the battery and holding the power button down for 30 seconds. I have pulled the RAM and the HD. I swapped the HD with a sister computer. None of these changes affected the boot loop (Except the error beeps when no HD or RAM was installed). Because I cannot get to the Bios or boot menu, I cannot try to load from a USB, etc.
The computer was working fine until about 2 weeks ago when this issue appeared. No new software or hardware changes; it just didn't boot anymore.
It is under warranty; I just didn't think to grab the SN when I had the battery disconnected; So I'll have to crack the shell and get that info for a warranty call. I'm hoping someone has another idea/solution, though. TIA.
