HP Stream 14

Hello,

I'm locked out of my HP Stream 14 laptop. It displays the screen enter administrator password or power on password. I have attempted to remove the CMOS battery as well as the main battery to reset the password, and have been unsuccessful. I also have tried to access the BIOS to change the password, but cannot get into the BIOS. System disabled code is 92829906.

@Booski

Removing the CMOS battery does nothing to reset passwords on laptops.

We don't provide Disable Code bypasses anymore.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.

For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.

For Admin password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.
