HP ENVY DV6-7247cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I upgraded my HP ENVY DV6-7247cl Laptop and replaced it with an SSD. I installed all the windows updates and drivers on the laptop. However, I noticed that my laptop was now no longer charging. I tried to reinstall the Microsoft AC adapter drivers but still had no luck. I saw on other forums that this might be a bios issue and tried to update my Bios.

AFter the bios update, my laptop will not boot up and shows a black screen. Nothing shows up, the laptop will still have lights on and fans running but nothing on the screen. There are also no beeps.

I tried a hard reset but still no luck...

How to solve???

Try unhooking the cable to the SSD-then power on and see if any results.

Thank you, that surprisingly worked. That was going to be my last resort.

I guess after I unplugged the SSD and re-booted the computer, the bios booted and finished the update..

Laptop boots up now, thank you!
