Solved!
Failure ID 0K0FNJ-8M4A8X-GXGGRG-60XC03
10-13-2020 03:30 PM

I ran a diagnostic on my laptop and came up with Hard Drive Short DST Check: FAILED.
Failure ID: 0K0FNJ-8M4A8X-GXGGRG-60XC03
Is there not a location on the website where we can check Failure IDs?
If not, can I get an explanation on what this code means?
Thank you!

Hi, David:
Below is the report generated by the failure code you posted, minus your notebook's serial number.
0K0FNJ-8M4A8X-GXGGRG-60XC03 | OK | XXXXXXXXXX | 10/13/20 | 303 | Storage | Floppy Drive, Hard Drive, Memory Drive, Optical Drive, SCSI, Tape Drive | Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure |
You will need to install a new hard drive, and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05098448
After you replace the drive, using another Windows PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer, you can make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
