I have this failure code and cannot locate the issue - can anybody help?

Hi:

 

The error code translates to:  Battery 1.

 

Most likely the battery needs to be replaced.

Thank you - is this irrespective of being on the AC adapter?

Yes.

 

I would remove the AC adapter and see how long the PC runs off the battery.

 

You can also see this link for further battery troubleshooting guidance before replacing it.

If you never run the PC off the battery, you can remove it and just run it off the AC adapter.
