HP Pavilion x360 - 13-a113cl (ENERGY STAR)

The bios can be set to change the fan always on option to off, however this is automatically reset back to on during the next boot attempt. How do we fix this? Many people online have this issue.

Hi @TheUniversalOne,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the BIOS settings for the fan always on option are reverting back to "on" after each boot attempt on your HP Pavilion X360 - 13, it's likely a firmware or software issue. Here are a few steps you can take to try to fix this problem.

  • Update BIOS: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your laptop on HP's support website. Sometimes BIOS updates include fixes for issues like this.
  • Reset BIOS settings: Try resetting the BIOS settings to default. This might help in case there's a glitch causing the fan always on option to revert back to on.
  • Check for software conflicts: Sometimes, third-party software or drivers can conflict with BIOS settings. Try booting into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If not, then a third-party software or driver might be causing the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
