Good morning,

 

I bought this PC in 2016 and I would like to know if I could recover the bios password since I am the sole owner of this PC.

 

The PC was in the attic and I decided to give it a new life.

 

Here is the bios blocking code : i 76906496

Basically, NO.

 

BIOS (and Power) passwords are encoded into the firmware of the motherboard and we have no access of any kind to that. Changing such a password requires completely replacing the motherboard with a new one that does NOT have a password encoded into the firmware -- and that usually costs a LOT more than simply replacing the computer.


I wish we could help you -- but we're not allowed to, since we have no way from here to verify ownership of any computer.
