Prior to login even, I want my num lock to come on as the system boots up, so that I can use the numeric keypad to enter my password, without having to remember to switch on the num lock. Personally I would like the num lock key to bey removed, with number key pad always on. Like another user thread, I would prefer to have a way of disabling it so that I don't switch it off with my clumsy fingers by accident. Worse, the little indicator light is so small it is useless. There is also no witness on the display when it is being switched on or off. All very frequently frustrating.

How do I make num lock come on at boot up - every time - and stay on after login?
