Freeze at the motherboard logo when the laptop boots, Omen 4

Omen 4, 15-dc1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop frequently gets stuck at the motherboard logo, and it's getting worse these days. No matter how many solutions I tried, such as resetting the COMS and the BIOS setting, using the advanced troubleshooting tool of the Windows 10.

I just bought this laptop two months ago. I even have no idea what is going on with my laptop.

The logo you're seeing is displayed using the firmware of the UEFI chipset of the motherboard.

When that goes away, the PC actually starts booting into Windows -- and if it is taking you longer and longer to get passed that to a working desktop, that indicates a failing hard drive -- which you should definitely NOT be seeing with a PC only a couple of months old.

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.

If they are unable to fix your PC, then you need to explore what options you have to get it replaced under the warranty.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page:

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
