G62
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. I am looking for some assistance. Any help is greatly appreciated. HP G62 Laptop.

My Laptop came with Windows 7 but recently upgraded itself to Windows 10.

Problem: When I press the power button on my laptop I hear the fan come on. However nothing boots up and the screen remains black, no cursor, no logo, nothing. I am unable to do anything i.e enter safe mode as I cannot see anything and the laptop is not responding to key commands i.e esc or win+B.

What I have tried already:

Hard Reset (all sorts of ways: battery out, drain power with button etc)

Key commands upon startup i.e pressing escape repeatedly, windows key + B, win key + P to change screen?! No Keys do anything.

Switch on/off multiple times quickly to initiate system repair or whatever it is called.

I removed RAM boards and checked each independantly in each slot.

Disconnected CMOS battery, left it for 3-4 minutes. Reconnected.

None of this has done anything. Please help!!!

Thanks,

Neil
