Hi all,
I've got CMOS Error (502) every time I turn on my PC after the battery has run out completely.
I try to reste bios, I try to reload default config on bios settings.
After that it works, but when I completely discharge the battery the problem occurs again.
I don't know how to definitively resolve the situation.
Thanks

Hi @keikurono023,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that you are getting a CMOS 502 error on your HP notebook. I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Turn on the computer.
- When the first screen displays, do one of the following:
- Immediately press the F10 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Computer Setup program opens.
- Immediately press the Escape key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Startup menu opens. Then press F10 to open the Computer Setup program.
- In the BIOS Setup utility, select the File tab.
- Select Apply Defaults and Exit.
The computer restarts.
- If the error no longer appears, you are done.
- If the error appears, Then it might be a hardware issue that needs to be addressed on HP phone support.

Thanks Rachel571 for your reply.
Thank you for the response I was given.
Unfortunately, with telephone support we have already tried other solutions like this, resetting the BIOS and returning it to the default settings etc... there are various communications on Messeger with the HP assistance center and yet none have solved the problem.
The problem disappears as long as the battery remains charged.
If I let the PC discharge completely, then, once recharged and turned back on, the problem appears again.
