When I tried to log in, I got a message saying “This sign in option is disabled for 2 hours.” I have tried everything, from restarting to entering the BIOS setup and set it to defaults, but none of that works. I also tried shutting it down and booting it up, same thing. I’ve also tried hard shutting down and booting it up again, same error.

This message comes up when you repeatedly try to sign in but enter invalid codes -- so MS then basically locks your PC for two hours.
According to what I've read online, if you leave your PC turned on for over 2 hours and DO NOT try to sign in again during that time period, the lock will expire and you then will be able to sign in normally.
Good Luck
