Hi @INFINITY6636,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP laptop after attempting to reinstall Windows 10. If you're getting a blue screen and your system is attempting repairs, it may not necessarily be a UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) issue. Blue screens can be caused by various hardware or software problems.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that all hardware components are properly connected and seated in their respective slots.
  • If you recently added new hardware, such as RAM or a hard drive, remove it temporarily to see if the issue persists.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Try booting your laptop into Safe Mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly during startup. Safe Mode loads only essential drivers and can help you identify if a third-party driver or software is causing the problem.

Use Windows Recovery Options:

  • If Windows 10 was pre-installed on your laptop, it should have a recovery partition. You can access recovery options by pressing a specific key during startup (often F11 or F12) or through the advanced startup options.

Check for System Restore Points:

  • If you have previously created system restore points, you can try restoring your system to a point before you attempted to reinstall Windows.

Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can create a bootable Windows 10 USB drive using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool on another working computer. Then, boot your laptop from the USB drive and attempt a repair or reinstall from there.

UEFI/BIOS Update:

  • If you are still convinced that a UEFI update is necessary, visit the official HP support website for your laptop model. They should have BIOS/UEFI updates available for download. Ensure that you follow their instructions carefully when updating your UEFI/BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
