HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 wont turn on

Device wont power up yet the power LED is on, tried the remove battery and power cord and hold the power button for 60 seconds. The power button is integrated in the keyboard so its connection is in the keyboard connection. Also does the device power up from a positive or negative pulse, I don't have a scope to see the signal. i really just need to confirm that the switch has failed before ordering a new palm rest for the device.
